About
This site answers one question every time Minecraft ships a new version: are my mods ready yet? It tracks the11,183 Fabric, 8,645 NeoForge and 10,018 Forge mods on Modrinth (everything with 10,000+ downloads) and refreshes automatically. Any other mod is looked up live from Modrinth when you add it, so every mod works the same way.
What the statuses mean
- ✓ Ready: the author has published a release build declared compatible with that version (any patch, e.g. 26.1.2 counts for 26.1).
- β Beta only: only beta or alpha builds are declared.
- ◐ Snapshot build: for upcoming versions, a build exists for a snapshot, pre-release or release candidate.
- ✕ Not yet: the mod supports this loader but nothing is declared for this version.
- – No build: for older versions, the mod never published a build for that exact version.
- ⊘ Inactive: no updates for over a year and not on recent versions.
All of this is author-declared. A mod can work without being tagged, or be tagged and still have bugs. Treat "ready" as "declared compatible", and back up your world before upgrading.
Server, client or both
Each mod says on Modrinth whether it's needed on the client, the server, or both. Your list is server ready when every mod the server needs is ready, and likewise for the client. Mods marked optional on both sides (common for libraries and utilities) count on both, because if they're in your list you're running them; we flag them so you know you could leave them off one side. If a mod doesn't say, we assume it's needed on both.
Alternatives
For mods that aren't ready, we suggest a few ready mods with similar descriptions and categories, mods that declare themselves incompatible with it (usually because they do the same job), plus a short hand-checked list of known replacements. Suggestions are a starting point, not an equivalent: check features before switching. Libraries have no alternatives because other mods depend on them by name.
Privacy
No accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers. Your lists are stored in your own browser. Share links carry the list in the part of the URL after #, which browsers never send to our server. We use cookieless, aggregate page-view counts only. Mod icons load from Modrinth's CDN, and when you search for a mod or add a less popular one, your browser asks Modrinth's public API directly (Modrinth sees that request, just as if you browsed their site).
